I am told that my ancestors used to help Portuguese fisherman carry messages between boats. And when fisherman fell overboard, they would hold onto our tails, so we could rescue them. That would explain my webbed paws.
Nowadays, I have a more leisurely life following my parents everywhere they go. I am not sure why I do that but I am totally devoted to them. I am actually a very caring dog and when I notice my family are sad or anxious, I comfort them until they perk-up. My parents say that my breed are great therapy dogs and that it’s a real help that I am hypoallergenic and don’t moult.
My favourite treats are fresh carrots and raw broccoli but what I really adore most are my Mum’s Turmeric Dog Treats. Apparently Turmeric is very good for my teeth, joint mobility and reduces any lumps and bumps.
My parents picked me because I was fixated on them when they came to meet me with my noisy brothers and sisters, and there I was thinking it was because of my adorable puppy face.
I heard my parents say I am a useless guard dog as all I want to do when strangers come to the house is invite them in to play. Well what’s wrong with that, isn’t it important to be welcoming and kind to everyone.
No matter what age, I love learning new tricks. I also try hard to communicate with my family using facial expressions and sounds, though they still have a lot to learn.

I joined my patents 2 years ago, well there’s actually my foster parents because I belong to my foster parents daughter and she’s away learning stuff at the moment. She’s clearly not as clever as me.
I can be a bit feisty but I make up for that being super discreet and sleep most of the time. While Macy is quite happy to welcome in visitors, I am a little more guarded and tend to make my voice heard when anybody arrives.
I don’t have very good teeth and I get a bit stiff ever since I had an operation on my spine. I don’t eat as much as Macy but I do love my foster parents Turmeric Dog Treats and I am told they help me a lot with my ailments.
While I have very short legs, it doesn’t bother me very much as I generally like to be picked up, sit on my foster parents knees or get carried by them when Macy wants to go on one of her long walks.
