Living on Purpose

It’s all about the principals we live by. Some of us may have grown up with an unconscious (or perhaps even a conscious) disregard for the impact our actions and interactions have on our wellbeing, the wellbeing of others and our planet. Do we genuinely take notice on the affect our choices have on society or question the ethics in the supply of the products we have become all too reliant upon?

What part are we playing to minimise our impact on the planet and the sustainability of our resources?

Thankfully we are increasingly becoming more conscious toward our values and the principles by which we live our lives - but we can still do much more. So where does Marvelwood stand?

• We feel that there should be a greater emphasis on compassion, where the currency of kindness has more value.
• We believe the power of nature has untapped benefits to our mental and physical wellbeing.
• We feel ‘globalisation’ should give way to the revival of ‘localisation’ and the merits of supporting our local communities.
• We believe in the preservation of heritage and heritage trades so that future generations can learn about the origins and evolution of manufacture, culture and society.
• We believe the values of craftsmanship should once again define quality and authenticity and that skills and techniques should be passed down to future generations.

While Marvelwood is already a way of life for us, it’s also how we express our values, where so much of what we enjoy in life is considered for its authenticity, purpose and impact.
